If you take a closer look you'll see that the coil paired with the Seahorse Pro Plus is now a straw-like Quartz Tube Tip Coil, it features a clear quartz layer encircling a crushed quartz bottom, with two metal rods on the inside running parallel to each other down into the crushed quartz. The Seahorse Coil V's style and construction allow for the smoothest, cleanest, most evenly heated dab imaginable. The clear quartz layers' main function is to provide a larger heated surface area for those massive dabs, allowing for increased consumption of concentrates, and a bigger airway for creating those huge clouds you may be looking for. The heating elements are not exposed because they are located on the inside of the clear quartz tube mitigating the chance of burning through your concentrates instead of vaporizing them.
